Parks like Shelley Lake are the backbone of our community. I believe it is a priority to make them safe and keep them clean.
What Does Safe Parks Mean?
That means having police patrols on these parks, having bridges built that don’t wash away from a bad rain storm, and having the litter better taken care of.
Right now we can greatly improve in this area. We have several bridges out and trash has become a big problem.
One of the things happening recently is we have a private individual that has taken it upon himself to go out and clean up a lot of this mess.
These are things that the city really needs to be taking care of. It’s great when we have volunteers to do this but we are also paying city taxes to have this handled.
